Twisted Hate Book by Ana Huang

 Review

Jules and Josh have always hated each other, and everyone knows it. I had accepted their animosity, especially after my first impressions of Josh in Twisted Love and Twisted Games, where he came across as arrogant and selfish. At the beginning of this book, I wasn’t sure I wanted him to have a happy ending, but as fate would have it, he and Jules end up working together at a volunteer organization, thanks to his sister's efforts to reconnect him with Alex. This frequent interaction gradually softens their mutual dislike, leading to hilarious banter and undeniable chemistry. They’re both reluctant to let go of their comfortable hatred—until they engage in a heated “hate intimacy” that changes everything.

They agree to continue their arrangement, but the rules are broken left and right, making it all the hotter. I’ve read countless steamy books, but nothing prepared me for the unforgettable bedroom scene with silk scarves—it left me utterly speechless. Once I collected my thoughts, I realized how lucky Jules is to have Josh, who puts all other book boyfriends to shame and sets an unrealistically high bar. This was honestly Ana Huang's best book in the series, with a darker, angrier tone that worked perfectly. At their core, Jules and Josh are two broken individuals seeking trust in each other. They’re drawn together because someone who hates you will tell you the truth, even when it hurts. The raw honesty between them evokes such emotion that it leaves the reader in tears. You want them to learn that it’s okay to be loved, to trust, and to have conflicts without losing themselves. Jules makes efforts to prevent Josh from hating her for real, while Josh's actions ultimately devastate her. Ugh, my heart! Knowing how it ends doesn’t lessen the impact of that pivotal scene where Josh admits, "I lied." I cried for both of them—they didn’t deserve that.

The surprise of who Josh turns to for support after hurting Jules adds another layer of complexity. What he does in response is even more unexpected. I highly recommend reading this book; it has everything you need in your life. It's so good! I pre-ordered it last year and signed up for the ARC because I couldn’t wait any longer. *Twisted Hate* by Ana Huang is an addictive, hot, angst-filled dual POV romance between two people who despise each other yet share an intense desire—truly a match made in hell.Enemies-with-benefits. Forced proximity. Best friend’s brother. No jealousy…and absolutely no falling in love. From relentless bickering and playful nicknames to confronting their past traumas, Josh and Jules’ story is unforgettable. Jules is an incredible heroine—if I had to describe her in one word, it would be “fighter.” Her strength and resilience are admirable.

Josh is adventurous and risk-taking; despite his big ego, he has a heart and fiercely protects those he loves. Eventually, he sees Jules in the same light, creating a unique dynamic between them. This book had me sobbing, smiling, and giggling all at once. The bonds, traumas, and lies are so beautifully woven that I struggle to find the right words to express my love for it. I typically don’t detail my reasons for rating a book five stars, but Twisted Hate by Ana Huang broke the scale. I adored Ana’s previous works, rating Twisted Love and Twisted Games five stars, but Twisted Hate is a masterpiece that surpasses them all. Whatever Ana infused into this book, I want it flowing through my veins 24/7.

Twisted Hate follows the past and present of Jules Ambrose, who is on her path to becoming a lawyer while dealing with her history, and her nemesis, Josh Chen, a hotshot ER doctor grappling with broken friendships and family issues. After moving away, neither expected to cross paths again, let alone become each other’s salvation. As their tension escalates, they finally call a truce, and the attraction becomes irresistible, despite the lingering animosity. With Josh preparing to go overseas and Jules aiming for a stellar legal career, their arrangement becomes increasingly complicated. Twisted Hate is the third book in the Twisted Series, a collection of interconnected stand alone that will have your heart and soul in a chokehold. I can’t wait for Twisted Lies, the next book in the series—I just know I’ll fall head over heels for it. Totally worth it!
