Twisted Lie Book by Ana Huang
Review
This book marks the end of an incredible series, and I can’t help but feel a sense of emptiness after finishing it. I’m amazed by the impact this story had on me as a reader. Ana Huang masterfully wrapped everything up, and I’m grateful I read the series in order, which deepened my emotional connection to each couple. The pacing in this final installment was perfectly slow, and as a fan of slow-burn romance, I cherished every moment of it.
Christian, with all his quirks, became my ultimate book boyfriend. He’s a blend of romantic, detail-oriented, grumpy, and ruthlessly protective—a character who truly sets the standard. His moments adjusting cuff links and ties had me melting. One of my favorite scenes was when he took Stella to his apartment and bathed her; it was incredibly sweet. His kindness shone through, especially when he comforted Stella during a traumatic moment. Stella is a beautifully crafted character, evolving from timid to strong and confident with Christian’s support.
Christian’s darker side is thrilling; his ruthlessness is sexy, especially when he deals with a stalker or when he confronts someone who disrespects Stella. The way he handles situations—like when he takes a brutal approach to protect her—had me gasping. The friendships among the couples create a beautiful sense of family, and the camaraderie among them is heartwarming. I loved the playful banter between Christian, Alex, and Josh, which added humor to the mix. Overall, this series is nothing short of immaculate. Each couple’s journey is engaging, and I adored the way the friendships developed. The ending felt satisfying, though it’s bittersweet to say goodbye. Ana Huang has an exceptional talent for writing romances that resonate deeply.
In this final chapter, Stella, a social media fashion icon, faces an escalating situation with a mysterious pursuer, prompting Christian to step in and assist her. Their connection sparks unexpectedly, and those who read Twisted Hate will remember Christian’s fascination with Stella. Initially, I found the first hundred pages slow to ignite my passion, but as their relationship developed, I became completely enamored with them. Christian’s complex nature, alongside Stella’s introverted yet occasionally extroverted persona, creates a compelling dynamic.
This is written with genuine affection, featuring appearances from previous characters that enrich the story. The fiery moments are intense and unforgettable. As I wrap up this series, I’m left with a bittersweet feeling, but I know I’ll revisit these characters in the future. I highly recommend the Twisted series to anyone who loves romance, and I can’t wait to read everything Ana Huang writes next!
I liked how you were talking about each book and their authors very interesting.
